Mechanical Design Engineer
Requirements:
- Strong mechanical design of machinery for the Heavy Equipment Material Handling industry
- Expertise with conveyor and power transmissions sizing
- Design conveyor structures and machine components as well as detail parts and assemblies. (Machine shop fabrication)
- Familiarity with Electro-mechanical systems (PLC’s, Motion Controls, Actuators) is a plus
- Compile complete, accurate and structured Bills of Materials
- Interface with Project Managers and Field Service support throughout the project cycle
- Occasional travel to customer offices or job site is required
- Work experience in the design of Conveyors / Materials Handling Equipment is a plus
- Must have strong hands-on CAD skills with AutoCAD (SolidWorks a plus).
Compensation: Commensurate with experience and skill level
Qualifications: BSME/MSME or equivalent

- Specializing in machine control programming
- Coursework or experience in assembly language or PLC systems a plus
- Solid knowledge of 3 phase induction motor operation principles very important
- General knowledge of many types of electronically commutated motors used in industry helpful
- Work experience in the design of Conveyors / Materials Handling Equipment is a plus
- Must have strong hands-on CAD skills with AutoCAD. (Samples of work are requested)
